Description

LOCAL CONTROL OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS. INITIATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. Adds section 22 1/2 to Article XX of Constitution; provides that State licenses for retail sale of intoxicating liquors, whether for consumption on or off the premises where sold, shall not be valid until approved by governing body of county or city wherein sale premises are located; confers upon the governing body of each county and city, and upon the voters thereof, power to forbid or regulate the sale and barter of intoxicating liquor within such county or city, or any portion of such county or city.
