Description

TAXATION. MAXIMUM RATE. INITIATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. Provides that real property taxes levied by local governmental agencies shall be limited to a combined maximum total of one percent of assessed or full cash value of the property, whichever is higher. Where such property is subject to taxation by more than one taxing agency, the maximum rate may be two percent if approved by two-thirds of the electors of area affected.
