Description

NUCLEAR WASTE. INITIATIVE STATUTE. Proposes adoption of a statute that would provide that the Governor of the State of California shall advise the President of the United States that the people of the state desire and mandate that any nuclear waste, existing and hereafter produced in this country, be converted to renewable energies. Fiscal impact on state and local governments: The Legislative Analyst and the Director of Finance advise adoption of this measure would not have any direct fiscal effect on state and local governments.
