Description
SCHOOLS AND CHILD CARE CENTERS. LIABILITY EXCLUSION. INITIATIVE STATUTE. Excludes all public schools and child care centers from all negligence liability suits. Includes private schools-centers which the Governor includes on a yearly basis. Permits Legislature to delete by a majority vote if public bond issues are made to pay any increases of negligence liability insurance above the rates and amount limit of 1984. Discusses rationale for measure. The Legislative Analyst and Director of Finance conclude after analysis of the proposed initiative that they are unable to estimate its fiscal impact on State and local government.
