Description

In addition to his work with the Supreme Court of California, his scholarship, and his teaching, Judge Traynor also served as a legal advisor to the U.S. Department of State on a number of occassions, including at the Fourth United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and Treatment of Offenders in Kyoto, Japan. He is pictured here (back row, third from the right) at a State Department meeting in Washington, D.C. in 1971.
