Description

LEGISLATIVE TERM LIMITS. INITIATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. Amends the California Constitution to extend the limit on years of service for State Senators from two four-year terms to no more than twelve years, and the limit for Assembly members from three two-year terms to no more than twelve years. Summary of estimate by Legislative Analyst and Director of Finance of fiscal impact on state and local governments: This measure would probably have no direct fiscal impact on the state or local governments.
