Description

BAIL. INITIATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. In lieu of cash or other deposit heretofore acceptable for the release on bail of a person who is held in custody pending the trial of any criminal matter, any person who has been continuously employed within this State for a period of six months or longer may execute with the clerk of the court having jurisdiction a written undertaking in an amount not to exceed fifteen percent of his gross annual wages, and such an undertaking shall be deemed the equivalent of a cash tender.
