Description
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES - SALE, PURCHASE, AND CONSUMPTION. INITIATIVE STATUTE. Repeals section 25631 of the Business and Professions Code which prohibits the on-and off-premise sale and purchase of alcoholic beverages between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the same day; and repeals section 25632 which prohibits the on-premises consumption of alcoholic beverages in licensed establishments between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the same day. Financial impact: Indeterminate but potential increase in state and local tax revenues, and indeterminate but probably minor increase in state and local costs of law enforcement.
