Description
EARTH ORBIT WEAPONS TREATY. INITIATIVE STATUTE. Proposes the enactment of a statute that states: "We the people of the state of California do hereby urge that the government of the United States propose, negotiate, and conclude a treaty with the Soviet Union that will completely and permanently prohibit both nations from putting weapons of any type into earth orbit." Summary of estimate by Legislative Analyst and Director of Finance of fiscal impact on state and local governments: Adoption of the proposed initiative would have no direct fiscal impact on state and local governments.
